LOVED this book series and the characters...... In Big Girls do cry, I had a very love/hate relationship with Isis.....what a selfish, self-absorbed, sad and lonely woman. But, I understood her pain all too well. **sigh** I could have just choked Lorraine, thinking this successful, smart and classy woman keeps taking this crap from her husband, but how many of us have been there to give our "man" another chance. **smirk** AND I absolutely fell in love with Jerome.....every woman needed a best friend like Jerome...but there was always this "cloud" of mystery around him.
But to my delight, Torn between to Lovers, picks up with Lorraine and her stuggle with her husband. I COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!! It was better than the first, which gave a wonderful foundation to the climax of Torn Between To Lovers. I just loved this whole story line.

Say A Little Prayer - E. Lynn Harris - Review
Just finished reading "Say a little prayer" by E. Lynn Harris. Loved the story line and characters.....my favorite character has to be "Skyler"......he brought a sense of humor, reality and sadness to the book. His story was very sad, but very real at the same time. Chauncey was not only a accomplished, successful black man, but a very tortured one with a painful past. Chauncey was all man, but with alot of vulnerability, which I like to see in a man. The over all vibe of the story line was a very good one and one that I think is parallel life today. A lot of "hate" for gays and lesbians is churches and can't be ignored. I loved how ELH captured that in this book.
